House Rules

Updated 15 February 2017

We are in a residential area and we need to respect our neighbours if we are to retain their support. Also, we are a community of disparate individuals and we need to respect each other if we are to get along therefore please abide by these rules at all times.

Please note that these rules may be changed from time to time and by making use of the facility you agree to abide by all these rules. Rule changes will be posted here and a copy of the rules will also be displayed in the facility. It is your responsibility to keep abreast of any changes. When in doubt, common decency and mutual respect should see you through.

Please keep noise to a minimum. Whilst you are free to listen to music, watch movies etc on your own devices please make sure you do not interfere with other guests or our neighbours. In particular please respect the need for quiet in the evenings from 8 pm. If you have been out partying and have come back late at night please be extra careful not to disturb others.

It is understood that use of the facility is at your sole risk. We are not responsible for any injury, loss or damage of whatsoever nature, of whatsoever cause.

We are not a licensed establishment and we therefore do not sell alcohol. Should you wish to bring your own drinks you are more than welcome to do so.

For our guests comfort we have designated Priscilla’s as a smoke free area. Should you want to smoke, please do so outside and dispose of any litter yourselves.

For everyone’s safety please do not bring any weapons to Priscilla’s. You are perfectly safe here.

Fires/open flames
Again, for everyone’s safety and security (with the exception of the designated braai/bbq facility) please refrain from making fires or using open flames in or near the facility.

Please refrain from bringing any pets with you.

You are free to photograph as much as you like, but please do not photograph anyone else without their express permission. For everyone’s privacy, please do not photograph any areas of the exterior of the facility that are normally visible from the street.

You are welcome to bring guests to the facility but please check in with us first. Guests are free to use the entertainment areas.
Please remember that this is a communal facility and all activities need to be kept decent and above board. No activities should be engaged in on these premises that you would not be able to perform in any other public space in South Africa.

Bookings/Use of Facility
We cannot guarantee availability and you can only book the facility a maximum of six weeks in advance. Unused bookings of the facility will incur a penalty of R250 per incident. This is done to prevent people from abusing the system and block booking the facility when they have no intention of using it.
